Am I Too Close To The Project?

A few weeks ago I finished crocheting another tote bag.  I haven’t shared it because, well, I think it might be ugly.

I didn’t use a pattern for this project.  I made it up as I went along.  It is made of cotton yarn that I purchased with the intention of making new dish rags, but for some reason (unknown even to me) I started crocheting a bag instead.  Not only did I not have a pattern, but I had no color scheme either. Instead I randomly pulled yarn from my stash and kept crocheting.

In hindsight, this may have been a mistake.

My question is this:  What do I do with it?

I feel it is too ugly to give as a gift or to sell on my etsy page.  Other people have told me it isn’t ugly, but I’m not sure I agree.  I mean, look at it.  I could take it apart and use the yarn for dish rags, but I’m far too lazy for that.

Perhaps I’ll use it and pretend I think it’s wonderful.  I’ll get a reputation for being quirky and cool.

Maybe just quirky.  We’ll see.

  1. I absolutely know this feeling, but I think the bag is cute, too (especially the green-pink-grey-orange section). I hope it does well in your shop!
