As thrilled as I am to be a Nanowrimo WINNER, there is a downside to my decision to devote the lion’s share of my time to writing last month — I’m seriously behind on my Christmas gift crafting.
I’ve been working double time with my crochet hook since December 1st to try to make up for it, but I think I might be losing this race. I’m hampered by two things: 1) Several projects did not turn out (insert pouty face here…), and 2) I have no idea what to give to several people.
But…I soldier onward. Below are photos of a few projects I have completed.
(I used the directions found at Repeat Crafter Me for the owl hat, with some minor adjustments so I could use the yarn I already had in my stash.)
With the exception of the owl hat, the projects were made up as I went along (no pattern was used). Of course, it is great when that works out, but sometimes it doesn’t…which might be why I’ve had to rip out a fair share of projects as well. I’ve also made a couple of scarves, a few dish rags, and two tea towels — but I have no idea who is getting what yet! I think it is time to sit myself down and make a list…check it twice…and get with the program already!
That’s all I have time for today — I have lists to make and miles of yarn to crochet!
Happy crafting everyone!
